Outright Gifts
Gifts of cash, personal check, and credit card (Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express) are the easiest and most common ways to support Tremont.
You may mail your gift to Great Smoky Mountains Institute at Tremont, 9275 Tremont Road, Townsend, TN 37882 or you may call 865/448-6709 and make your donation over the telephone. Please be sure to specify the area or program you wish to support.
Gifts of securities (common stocks, bonds, mutual funds) may also be donated to Great Smoky Mountains Institute at Tremont. In addition to the charitable income tax deduction, donors are often able to avoid the capital gains tax on the appreciated value of the security. You have several options when making a gift of stock. If the certificate is in your possession, you may mail it to Great Smoky Mountains Institute at Tremont. If the shares are held in an account with your broker, these can be transferred to a Tremont account.

Memorial Donations
Continue the memory of a loved one by making a memorial donation in their honor to Great Smoky Mountains Institute at Tremont. Two examples include:
Michael Edwin Dale Scholarship Fund - Set up in memory of Michael by his family, this fund is a part of Tremont’s endowment and funds a camper to attend our Wilderness Adventure Camp each year.

Louise Barber Fund - This fund, created by Louise’s family and friends in Tremont’s endowment, gives scholarships to participants in Tremont’s Wilderness First Responder courses.
