Explore the wild side of the Smokies. During this adventure, you’ll camp in the woods and will help set up field experiments in support of the All-Taxa Biodiversity Inventory, an ambitious project led by Discover Life in America that aims to document all of the estimated 60-80,000 species found in Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Butterflies, beetles, birds, and botany will be just a few of the subjects of our investigations as we explore the creeks and hollows in search of the next organism. Maybe you’ll find a species that’s new to the park — or even to science!
