Sorry for the inconvenience, but this course is canceled.

The Wilderness Emergency Medical Responder Course is ideal for scout leaders, camp counselors, traveling missionaries, and any other youth or outdoor worker. It not only offers hands-on training for dealing with bites, burns and other injuries, but also teaches participants how to manage conditions brought about from extreme temperatures and other outdoor emergencies.

Our Wilderness Emergency Medical Responder Course is presented in partnership with the Roane State Community College Continuing Healthcare Education, and meets the Tennessee Emergency Medical Services standards and national registry standards for First Responder training. Upon completion of this course participants will be eligible for National testing, which must be completed separately at a certified testing center, and will also be qualified for listing on the national registry.

Lodging and meals are included, however required course materials must be purchased separately and obtained in advance.

Cost: $926

Cost for National Park Service Employees: $713. Please call 865-448-6709 for discount code. Enter discount code when you register online below.

Certification lasts 2 years, and may be renewed by attending our Wilderness Emergency Medical Responder Refresher.
