Pre-trip Teacher Workshops
Discounted rates are available when teachers attend pre-visit training.
A pre-trip visit allows you to feel more comfortable and knowledgeable about programs, trails, and facilities when you bring your students, and gives us time to work together to develop a program customized to your particular goals. Teachers who participate in one of the following workshops will receive a full waiver of their personal program fee for their school trip and the entire group will be eligible for the discounted rate. Some of these workshops can be taken for college credit and/or may be able to count as teacher in-service hours.
If you are unable to attend a workshop this year, we still encourage you to be our guest for a day to observe lessons. We will give you a tour, help you plan your trip, and allow you to shadow classes of the current school in residence. Spending this time here would make your school eligible to come at the reduced rate. Please note, all workshop discounts are non-transferable to other teachers and are limited to one adult per 10 students attending with the school group. Please call if you wish to arrange a visit or would like to discuss other pre-planning alternatives.
