This is an excellent opportunity to work year-round with a caring team of professional educators while living in Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Teacher Naturalists implement all aspects of residential environmental education programs, including teaching daily classes with youth, classroom teachers and adults, conducting evening programs, planning and implementing programs, and assisting in overall center operations.

Qualifications: Applicants must be enthusiastic, energetic and committed.  Must have experience and training in natural history and working with both children and adults in a residential atmosphere. A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in related field. Wilderness First Responder and CPR training required (candidates can acquire before start date if they are not currently certified).  Teaching, hiking and trip-leading experience required.  Seeking applicants that want to commit for a year or more in order to deepen their teaching skills and develop new leadership skills.
