A one-, two-, or three-night experience in Great Smoky Mountains National Park! Bond with your child while playing games that build confidence and awaken the senses. Get to know the forest and its creatures. Wade in a cool mountain stream. Sing songs and hear stories around the campfire. And before bedtime – you guessed it – see the fireflies light up the night.

Firefly Camp aims to give you and the youngster in your life a taste of what summer camp is like. One night in length, it’s not too long and not too short – it’s just right. Both you and your child will get to experience the wonders of nature in the national park. Meals, lodging, and age-appropriated activities led by our experienced educators are provided.

Important Information regarding Programs during COVID-19

Thank you for your interest in a Tremont summer program—we are so excited to be able to see you all again for the magic and wonder of summer in the Smokies! During this prolonged period of pandemic and isolation, our work of connecting people and nature has never felt more essential.

We are planning to move forward with summer programs in 2021, as we keep a close watch on trends and best practices. Given the uncertainties right now, we are holding off on the specific details we normally include in a welcome letter, i.e. arrival time and procedures, etc.

We feel very good about the safety procedures we put in place during fall 2020 and will likely keep them the same for our 2021 programs. But we also know that things will change during the year, so we are asking you to check back at this website for more specific information as we get closer to the date of your program.

If you have any questions or concerns between now and then, please feel free to get in touch by email or phone: [email protected] or 865-448-6709 ext. 16.

Firefly Cancellation Policy: Cancellations received up to two weeks prior to the program start date will be refunded in full, minus a $ 25 processing fee per person.
