DESCRIPTION:February 7 | $90 | Register Now\n \nBe among the very first to learn\, explore\, and connect at Tremont’s second campus in Townsend. Seasons of Connection is a limited series of hands-on workshops for adults\, led by Tremont’s expert educators. Discover new skills\, deepen your relationship with the land\, and help shape the future of Tremont’s newest campus. \nStep into the role of caretaker on our second campus with Elizabeth Davis\, land manager at Tremont. Together we’ll brush up on winter tree identification\, inventory a forest stand\, and use our observations to read the landscape\, exploring its history\, health\, and future. Then we’ll get to work treating hemlocks to protect them from woolly adelgid and learning to fell a tree safely using traditional tools. Whether you’re new to forest work or seasoned in stewardship\, you’ll leave with a deeper understanding of the land and the satisfaction of contributing to its care.  \nThis program will involve periods of standing and some rigorous movement. Dress warmly and be prepared for some light off-trail hiking through uneven terrain. No experience with winter tree identification\, hemlock treatments\, or tools necessary! \nRegister Now\n\nRegistration includes all course materials. Bring your own lunch.
