Spring in the Smokies is alive with color and light — delicate wildflowers, new green leaves, and mist rolling across the ridges. This weekend photography workshop helps you capture the season’s beauty through expert instruction and immersive fieldwork.
Led by a team of professional nature photographers, you’ll venture into iconic locations such as Foothills Parkway, Elkmont, and Cades Cove (with early access before gates open). Field sessions will be complemented by one-on-one mentorship, group image reviews, and ample time for questions and feedback.
What’s included:
- Field instruction on light, composition, equipment, and timing.
- Opportunities to photograph landscapes, streams, wildlife, and macro details.
- Constructive critiques in a supportive learning environment — often noted as a highlight of the workshop.
- A rare chance to be part of the only residential photography workshop inside Great Smoky Mountains Institute at Tremont.
This workshop is open to photographers of all levels — from beginners eager to learn their camera to seasoned artists seeking new inspiration.
