This workshop will explore the divided allegiances of the people of the Great Smoky Mountains during the Civil War and how this impacted their daily lives. We will participate in the activities that are part of a new Ranger-led, virtual field trip that explore the questions of “what do you value?” and “what would you be willing to give up to protect and preserve what you value?”. After a short presentation on the Civil War in the Smokies, we will spend time in breakout rooms working through activities in small groups.

This workshop is free but you must fill out the registration form to participate. Spots are limited, so please register early. We will send out a Zoom meeting link with your registration confirmation and additional information as the workshop approaches.
