If you have taken Wilderness Emergency Medical Responder (also called Wilderness First Responder) in the past and are due for a renewal, this refresher course is for you! This program offers a comprehensive review of wilderness medical information and skills, while meeting the requirements to renew certification as an Emergency Medical Responder on the National Registry.

Cost: $613
Registration includes instruction, food, and lodging in our dorm inside Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Required course materials must be purchased separately and obtained in advance.

Financial Aid:
Financial aid for Wilderness Emergency Medical Responder is available through the Louise Barber Fund. To apply, send a letter and completed registration form stating how you will benefit from the course, why you need financial assistance, and the amount you request. Please DO NOT send a check at this time. Special consideration is given to those who work with young people.
