Tremont Institute seeks a key member of program leadership. The Youth Programs Coordinator strives for excellence in the development and implementation of programs in line with the strategic goals, mission, and purposes of Great Smoky Mountains Institute at Tremont (GSMIT).
The Youth Programs Coordinator is directly responsible for the logistical flow of programs, working closely with the Youth Program Manager, other organization departments, and stakeholders to create and support program schedules for all youth programs (school-year and summer). This position also includes teaching and faculty leadership.
Bachelors in Environmental Education, or closely related field; supplemented by a minimum of three (3) years previous experience and/or training that includes residential environmental education, summer youth/adult program operations; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job. Demonstrated experience with program development, management, and working with schools and teachers. Applicant must have a keen interest in, and aptitude for, Natural History and place-based experiential education.
Salary and Benefits: Salary commensurate with experience Medical, dental and vision insurance. 403(b) retirement employer match 6%.
