This Giving Tuesday, November 30, Tremont supporters really stepped up to the challenge. Thanks to the gifts of more than 100 individuals, we raised over $50,000 in a single day! These funds help us continue to provide life-changing experiential education for learners of all ages at Tremont and we are so grateful for the support.

We spent the day livestreaming with Tremont staff members and exploring the many facets of our programming. We started the morning with coffee by the Middle Prong, shared the results of our monarch tagging season, led a nature journaling exercise, announced our new Naturalist Camp, gave a sneak peek of Tremont’s Second Campus, and sang songs by the campfire. We even had students join us for the adventure – shout out to Ms. Wilcoxson’s class at Fairview Elementary, pictured above participating in the afternoon nature journaling activity.

All session recordings are listed below – we hope you enjoy!

By the way, if you want to support Tremont but missed Giving Tuesday, there’s still time to give before the end of the year!

We started the morning on the Middle Prong with Amie from The Dancing Bean. Amie guided us through the art of a pour-over while we sat with the sounds of the river. Thanks to The Dancing Bean for providing coffee vouchers for our early-morning donors.
Erin shared an update on monarch butterfly tagging, one of our ongoing community science projects. She and Megan discussed why Tremont is involved in this type of research and how you can get involved.

Megan and Jeremy made an exciting announcement about a new adult field program at Tremont – Naturalist Week! As they shared some of the highlights from the schedule, they described this week-long program as “summer camp for adults.”

On our lunch break, we celebrated hitting our $20,000 fundraising goal. We showed some highlights from a school group on campus and talked to a teacher about the impact Tremont has on her classroom. Then, Elizabeth threw down a challenge for raising more funds.
Annie guided us through a nature journaling activity – the perfect way to take an afternoon break and reenergize. This activity can be done from anywhere at any time – try it yourself!
Of course, our Giving Tuesday audience donated generously and met Elizabeth’s challenge of raising an additional $2,000 in the afternoon. As a reward for the viewers, she and Joey got to take a surprise dip in the cold, cold Middle Prong.
As the sun began to set, our president and CEO, Catey, joined Megan at Tremont’s second campus to talk about our bold vision for the future and answer some questions about what’s in store with the second campus!

To start the evening entertainment, John and Jeremy played a selection of Tremont favorites by the campfire.

To wrap up the day, Joey, Wren and Megan hosted the Tremont Late Show, which included plenty of laughs, great music, and a final reflection at the end. It was the perfect end to an amazing day.
