Hats off to all scavenger hunters!

After 10 wild years, over 700 questions, tasks, photos, and challenges, and 100’s of scavenger hunters scouring Great Smoky Mountains National Park in search of answers and adventure, it is a bittersweet announcement that Tremont Institute will no longer be hosting our park-wide scavenger hunt.

For a program that was only supposed to last a few years, we have been amazed over the years at the dedication, creativity, and STAMINA of all of the teams, families, friends, and volunteers that took part and made it so much fun. To participants, you hiked through the night, planned your routes, took lots of pictures, and dressed in funny costumes, matching your wits against the questions and the mountains. To our unflappable volunteers, you graded questions, went without food, and raced the clock to score teams quickly and accurately.

We thank you all for the years of fun and memories – see you all out on the trail!
