W<\/span>hen teachers use nature as a tool for their classroom, their students engage more \u2013 they ask more questions, share more observations, and feel emotionally invested in learning. <\/span>That’s why we offer our Teacher Escape Weekends, an opportunity for educators to connect, get inspired, and find tools to make their work a bit easier.<\/span><\/p>\n

At Teacher Escape Weekends, teachers <\/span>find inspiration from other educators, share ideas, and practice experiential learning activities that they can take back to the classroom. Time together will include exploration, reflection, and collaboration with other like-minded educators about ways to get kids curious.<\/p>\n

For those bringing a school group to Tremont in the upcoming year, this weekend also provides an opportunity to explore campus, meet the staff, and prepare for cooperative teaching. Attendance in this program brings the added benefit of reduced program fees for teachers and students when your school returns for their overnight program (~$1400 value for a school with 50 students!) <\/span>It also reduces the cost of the trip for each participant.<\/p>\n

With the generous support of Arconic Foundation, Tremont is able to offer this experience for the\u00a0low cost of $88<\/b>, which includes<\/em> food and lodging at our beautiful campus inside Great Smoky Mountains National Park.<\/p>\n
