Yes, your schoolyard is a lab fully equipped to bring science and math\u200b (and other subjects!) to life! Explore the natural world and learn ways to make data collection and analysis meaningful and fun during an overnight retreat in the Smokies! You will walk away from this program with new friends, inspiration, and hands-on tools for your own classroom!<\/p>\n<p>Discover new ways to tap into the great outdoors to teach practical lessons regardless of the grade or subject you teach. During this special 24-hour educator workshop, we&#8217;ll practice methods of data collection and analysis that could work in your schoolyard and classroom. You&#8217;ll leave with tools and ideas to engage your students in critical thinking, environmental stewardship, and scientific research. Taught by Great Smoky Mountains National Park and Tremont staff, you&#8217;ll also have the opportunity to connect with the national park and explore the amazing biodiversity that surrounds us.<\/p>\n<p>This workshop will take place in person at Tremont&#8217;s campus in Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Registration includes meals and lodging.<\/p>\n<p><a class=\"fusion-button button-flat fusion-button-square button-xlarge button-default button-1\" href=\"https:\/\/72117.blackbaudhosting.com\/72117\/Collect-it-and-Connect-it-Data-in-Nature-Dec-2-3-2022\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span class=\"fusion-button-text\">Register Online<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Thanks to the generous support of the National Park Service, Friends of the Smokies and the Arconic Foundation, we are able to offer this opportunity to teachers for just $20 &#8211; that&#8217;s $200 in savings.
