Join us on Friday, June 2 for the All Things Tremont Open House, where you can immerse yourself in the wonders of Tremont and its surroundings. Whether you’re already a Tremont enthusiast or just curious, this event is for you! Drop by at any point between 10am and 4pm to take part in the festivities.

Meet the Tremont staff and learn about the many ways we connect people with nature – and see how you can get involved! You’ll get an inside look at the work we’re doing with visitors to the Smokies, as well as the work taking place in our surrounding communities. You’ll learn about our community science programs, volunteer opportunities, youth and adult programs, second campus and much more.

As you wander through our event, be sure to check out our special highlights:

  • Meet and greet with live animal ambassadors from Ijams Nature Center from 11am-2pm.
  • Music from Appalachia Anna, a multi-instrumentalist performer and music educator specializing in Appalachian and old-time music.
  • Face painting and coloring station with Tremont’s artist-in-residence, Deborah Cook.
  • Hands-on wilderness skills lessons and activities with Tremont’s own backcountry experts Elizabeth Davis and Jeremy Lloyd.
  • Free food, drinks and snacks courtesy of Tremont’s kitchen staff, including vegetarian options. Be sure to grab some goodies from the free ice cream truck courtesy of Rusty Wallace Auto Group!
  • 15% off purchases in the Tremont Visitor’s Center for all guests.

For youth planning to attend Tremont’s summer camps, this open house is also an opportunity to get to know our special corner of the Smokies so you can feel more at home when you arrive for camp. From 1-4pm, you and your family will have the opportunity to meet our talented summer staff and tour Tremont’s dorms and cafeteria. Campers, please RSVP to attend.

This event is free and open to the public, so feel free to stop by anytime during the day to enjoy the festivities. Share this event on Facebook to invite your friends!
