One foundational component to environmental stewardship is a love and appreciation for the land, for nature, and for life. Spending recreational time outdoors is one way to grow that connection with the earth. Join others like yourself who want to explore the wilderness, meet other people, and push their personal boundaries.
Hiking Weeks – Join our weeklong Road Scholar or Sierra Club hiking programs to spend your days trekking through the Smokies and your nights on our campus enjoying good music, good food, and fellowship.
Backpacking Adventures – For those who want to go a little deeper (literally!) into the woods. Pack up your supplies and head out with experienced naturalists in the lead. These excursions in the Smokies backcountry are a workout both physically and mentally.
