Explore the wild side of the Smokies during an adventure like no other. During this 6-day, 5-night canoe expedition, you’ll camp in the woods, paddle to remote locations, and document the biodiversity of the Smokies in support of the All-Taxa Biodiversity Inventory, an ambitious project led by Discover Life in America that aims to document all of the estimated 60-80,000 species found in Great Smoky Mountains National Park. All the while, you’ll have a blast as you canoe with new friends, swim in beautiful water, make meals by the campfire, and immerse yourself in nature.

Butterflies, beetles, birds, and botany will be just a few of the subjects of our investigations as we explore the creeks and hollows in search of the next organism. Maybe you’ll find a species that’s new to the park — or even to science!

Registration includes meals, camping supplies, and instruction inside Great Smoky Mountains National Park.

Ages: 13–17
Cost: $845
