At the end of March, a powerful storm took down dozens of trees on and around Tremont’s campus. Read Jeremy’s account and check out pictures of the damage here. Thankfully, our staff and program participants are safe and programs are able to continue, but there is a significant mess to clean up.

We’re calling on the support of our local friends to help clean up the Tremont campus and surrounding trails. If you’d like to help, sign up for a volunteer day (or multiple!) below. (Note, the volunteer day planned for Thursday, April 11, has been canceled due to inclement weather.)

Volunteer days will take place from 9am to 3pm. If you can only attend for a portion of the day, please let us know in advance. Lunch is not provided; please plan to bring any food you may need. Children are welcome if accompanied by an adult.

Tasks may include:

  • picking up and stacking brush
  • clearing drainage ditches
  • splitting and stacking firewood
  • clearing and shoring up trails

What to bring:

  • Close-toed shoes
  • Pants, long-sleeve layers and rain gear
  • Work gloves (if you have them)
  • Lunch, snacks, and a water bottle
