Plein Air Smokies

For one week each fall, artists set up easels across Great Smoky Mountains National Park to paint its landscapes in real time. Plein Air Smokies brings together nationally recognized plein air painters, local audiences, and collectors for a celebration of art and nature.

Throughout the week, the public is invited to attend painting demonstrations, the lively Quick Draw competition, and the Collectors Celebration art sale. Visitors can meet the artists, watch them work, and even purchase original artwork inspired by the Smokies. Sign up for emails for more event details.
