Discover how students can conduct biodiversity studies at your school, acting as community scientists and collecting real scientific data about their local flora and fauna. In this virtual session, you’ll meet Jaimie Matzko, Biodiversity Program Specialist at Discover Life in America, as she introduces iScience, a program that aims to increase awareness of and appreciation for the incredible biodiversity around us, as well as foster young people’s interest in STEM fields. iScience focuses on grades 5-8, but we’ll discuss ways anybody can connect with community science.

If you haven’t already, be sure to join the Schoolyard Network. We’ll send an email with details to join this month’s session.

Please note, this event takes place virtually from 4:30 to 6:00 pm EST.
