Summer in Great Smoky Mountains National Park is an enchanting time. Spend your family vacation living and learning inside the national park and experience the magic of the mountains as you hike ridges, study wildlife, explore secret places, and take afternoon dips in the Middle Prong river. 

Smoky Mountain Family Camp is a 6-day, 5-night adventure is designed for families that are ready to leave their cares behind in exchange for a week of outdoor family fun. You’ll get to choose your own adventure as you pick which guided activities you want to do each day: hike in the high country, bicycle the loop at Cades Cove, search for salamanders, take an overnight camping trip, make nature-based art, and enjoy fantastic evening entertainment – all will be designed to give your family the opportunity to spend some easy-going time together

Registration includes instruction, food, and lodging in our dorm inside Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Families of 5 or 6 receive a 15% group discount, which is reflected in the registration price; early bird discounts also apply!

Parking Passes
Valid parking tags are required on any vehicles parking for longer than 15 minutes inside Great Smoky Mountains National Park as part of the Park it Forward program; this includes when parked at Tremont. Please purchase your parking tag in advance, not when you arrive. Click here to purchase your daily or weekly pass online.  All revenue will stay in the park to provide sustainable, year-round support focusing on improving the visitor experience, protecting resources, and maintaining trails, roads, historic structures, and facilities. Learn more about Park it Forward.
