Sorry for the inconvenience, but we are postponing our open house event. Check back for a new date and information soon!

Do you want…

…to grow more connected to the national park?
…a reason to escape to the Smokies on a regular basis?
…to gain the many physical, emotional, and mental benefits of spending quality time in nature?

We invite you to spend the day at Tremont to rejuvenate, have fun, and learn how you can contribute to the future of Tremont and Great Smoky Mountains National Park while enriching your own life in the process.

On Friday, May 22, we will kick off our bird-banding season and at the same time, host an open house that showcases our programs and volunteer opportunities, including all of the wonderful community science research projects that you can take part in.

Community science projects contribute to real research and aim to answer important questions that have an impact on future management decisions. These projects can also empower neighborhoods and communities to work together to deepen understanding and to take ownership of the health of their local environment.

Join us for a fun day in Great Smoky Mountains National Park and learn about all of the programs and resources we provide for classroom teachers, students, home educators, parents, and anyone who would like to make their life more nature-inspired. All ages are welcome.

This event is free, but we ask that you register online below to let us know you’ll be joining us.
