Tremont Writers Conference
October 20, 2027 - October 24, 2027 | Adults | $1,800
Writers of fiction, nonfiction, and poetry gather for a five-day intensive retreat in the Smokies – a chance to hone your craft while immersed in one of the most inspiring landscapes in America. Tremont partners with Smokies Life to bring this unique conference to a select group of participants each year.
The 2027 conference will feature acclaimed author Rick Bass, alongside three additional authors leading small-group tracks in fiction, nonfiction, and poetry. Days are spent in focused writing workshops, with evenings devoted to readings, faculty talks, and shared meals that nurture both creativity and community.
What you’ll experience
- Small-group workshops in your chosen genre, led by a team of accomplished authors
- Craft talks, manuscript feedback, and readings by guest authors in a peaceful and inspiring setting
- An all-inclusive stay, including comfortable lodging and hearty meals on Tremont’s campus inside the national park
- A supportive community of writers at all stages, from emerging to published
