TOWNSEND, TN. — Great Smoky Mountains Institute at Tremont will host its annual Homecoming Celebration on Sunday, October 23, 2022, from 5:00-8:00 pm. The event celebrates Tremont Institute and the education programs that have inspired thousands of adults and children since 1969. Proceeds from the evening support Tremont’s mission to connect people with nature through immersive, experiential education.

The public is invited to Tremont’s campus inside Great Smoky Mountains National Park for an evening that includes a social hour, campfire, s’mores bar, seated dinner, live music, remarks from President & CEO Catey McClary, and a reflection and review of the last year. Tremont naturalists will lead an optional nature walk for guests to explore campus and notice seasonal changes in the national park.

The Tremont Homecoming Celebration is sponsored by Brookfield Renewable U.S., Mountain Commerce Bank, Whitfield and Brittany Bailey, The Abbey, and Peaceful Side Social.

Tickets start at $75 per person, and seating is limited. Individuals can register for the event by the end of the day on October 19 at gsmit.org/homecoming
