Can’t make this program? Check out our Autumn Brilliance Photography Workshop.

More than any other place in North America, springtime in the Smokies is pure magic! From the uncurling of young tree leaves to a superlative woodland wildflower display, the colors and light in spring in the mountains are breathtaking. Capture these miracles of life using your own camera lens in our Springtime in the Smokies photography workshop.

This course covers the use of light, composition, and equipment to capture beautiful mountain landscapes, intimate stream scenes, fascinating textures, native wildlife, and brilliant sunrises. Throughout the weekend, we’ll focus on fieldwork, visiting scenic spots around Foothills Parkway, the Elkmont historic area, and Cades Cove before the gate opens to the public. As the only residential photography workshop inside Great Smoky Mountains National Park, you’ll find more than enough inspiration to go around.

Of course, there will also be plenty of time for constructive feedback and support from instructors throughout the experience. Take advantage of the five expert photographers who will serve as your mentors for this class during one-on-one sessions, or tap into the collective experience of the group during the image review session at the end of the course. The peer review session is often noted as a favorite part of the workshop!

This workshop is designed for all levels of expertise, from beginners to intermediates and beyond.

Cost: $912
Registration includes instruction, food, and lodging in our dorm inside Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
