When fall color peaks in the Smokies, the mountains come alive with gold, crimson, and flame-orange. This weekend workshop is your chance to capture the brilliance of autumn in one of the most photographed parks in the country.
Like the spring workshop, this program blends field excursions to prime locations (Foothills Parkway, Cades Cove, Elkmont, and more) with mentorship from six professional instructors. Between outings, you’ll refine your craft during small-group discussions and the popular peer review session.
Course features:
- Field instruction on light, composition, equipment, and timing.
- Opportunities to photograph landscapes, streams, wildlife, and macro details.
- Constructive critiques in a supportive learning environment — often noted as a highlight of the workshop.
- A rare chance to be part of the only residential photography workshop inside Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
This workshop is open to photographers of all levels — from beginners eager to learn their camera to seasoned artists seeking new inspiration.
Registration includes instruction, food, and lodging in our dorm inside Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
