Summer in Great Smoky Mountains National Park is pure magic — long days, mountain streams, and endless opportunities to explore together. Smoky Mountain Family Camp invites your whole family to trade daily routines for six days and five nights of outdoor adventure, discovery, and connection.

Every day is a new adventure, and you get to choose how to spend it. Join a guided hike in the high country, bike the loop at Cades Cove, search for salamanders along shaded creeks, take part in an overnight camping trip, or create nature-inspired art. Each evening brings the chance to gather as a community for engaging programs like storytelling, music, or naturalist talks.

This program is designed to be flexible, so families can mix active exploration with time to rest, recharge, and simply enjoy the park. Whether splashing together in the Middle Prong, spotting wildlife on a trail, or watching the stars after dark, Family Camp offers the perfect balance of adventure and easy-going fun.

All lodging, meals, and guided activities are included, so you can focus fully on being present with the people you love. Tremont’s experienced staff provide support and guidance throughout the week, creating a welcoming environment where families of all ages can unplug, unwind, and reconnect with each other and with nature.
